An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Litigation Team as a Paralegal Officer.  The Litigation Team is part of Legal, Governance and Registrars and deals with all compensation claims against the County Council in addition to advising in relation to disclosure of records and pursuing litigated debt recovery.


The post will deal with :

1. Highways vehicle damage claims

2. Property damage claims

3. Advising the service upon disclosure of records in criminal proceedings

4. Assisting other lawyers with matters in proceedings and more complex claims


Preferably you will have legal experience although this is not essential and training will be provided.  You must be well organised and have a good telephone manner.

Senior Project Officer (Innovation and digital) – Economic Development

We are currently recruiting for a 10-month maternity cover contract for one of our Senior Project Officer roles within the Economic Development service at Lancashire County Council.

The attached job description details the variety of areas this role can work on.

The main current projects this role would be covering include:

·        Co-ordination of the newly established Lancashire Innovation Board

·        Co-ordination (with partners) of Lancashire Innovation Marketing Strategy (Inward Investment)

·        Co-ordination (overseeing event team) of Lancashire Innovation Showcase event

·        Management of our partnership with Digital Lancashire

·        Partner on Fraser House Technology hub development – ensuring community and partners remain engaged during renovation stages.

·        Responding to new opportunities for Lancashire within the Innovation and Digital spaces and sectors.

Given the communications focus of current projects, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants with communications, marketing, or partnerships experience.

This is a full time contract but can be worked flexibly, from December 2019 to September 2020.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Min A Levels

Preferred Skills

Min 2 years as a recruitment consultant

Excellent communication and written skills

Experience of recruiting in the catering / hospitality industry preferred but not essential

Ability to plan your own work, work on your own initiative and meet deadlines.

The ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload

This Content and Admin Executive role is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £16,500-£18,000 per annum.

Key responsibilities as our Content and Admin Executive:

  • Update online content via the content management systems (CMS) to ensure the content for websites, email bulletins, and social media channels feature engaging, relevant and up to date content that promotes partners effectively on visitlancashire.com and across our suite of websites
  • Provide excellent levels of customer service to all partner businesses, supporting the Business Development Manager in all areas of their work
  • Flag any notable product updates/events to the wider team and ensure partner offers are maximised to deliver return
