Compliance Officer and Program Manager

  • Executing and implementing platform-wide risk management policy as well as; maintaining compliance program
  • Designing and maintaining all elements of sanctions compliance framework, assessing related sanctions risk exposure in keeping with the company’s risk appetite, overseeing the quality of sanctions control processes, and managing and mitigating those sanctions risks to protect the platform
  • Assisting in shaping the LaunchGood campaign approval policy, auditing and reviewing all payment flows and processes
  • Advising, training, and overseeing adherence to procedures and processes for compliance by front line units such as the Campaign Approval team to meet required standards;
  • Identify trends and patterns in alerts, dispositions, to develop risk mitigation and detection policies and keeping the company’s risk management framework up to date. 
  • Working with our technology solution providers, and identifying others that enable effective and efficient compliance risk management across our company.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration to the platform's reputation and safeguarding LaunchGood by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and adhering to Policy.
  • Working collaboratively with our payment processors to showcase the strong implementation of the compliance risk process and procedures
  • Interacting with the Senior Management team to raise awareness of sanctions trends, emerging issues, remedial actions or enhancements to the program.
  • Assessing the impact of issues/violations (legal/regulatory, policy, reputational, etc.), identifying process gaps and helping define and manage disciplinary and corrective actions, as appropriate.
  • Participating in and managing, as appropriate, various internal assurance processes, e.g., self-assessment, internal audit or compliance assurance reviews.
  • Reviewing and investigating potential fraudulent transactions in accordance with the policy framework
  • Investigating potential concerns around campaign organizers intended goals, beneficiaries, and fund settlement path and process.

Job Title: Health & Wellbeing Lead

Accountable to: Director of Operations

Salary: £21,164 - £28,860.

Hours: 37 hours per week

Leave: 25 days plus the normal 8 bank/ public holidays

Period of Contract: Full time - Permanent

Base: IMO Charity HQ, Blackburn

1. Job Purpose

To work with the Senior Management Team and the Director of Operations to deliver IMO Charity (IMO) Mission and strategic objectives.

2. Duties

Enhancing and implementing IMO’s strategy for the provision includes health service, education service, youth service, social action, intervention, prevention, and opportunities for all. Line managing the project officers and volunteers within your strand of the IMO.

This entails:

A. Strategic development of the key IMO themes, translation and development of projects into funding opportunities and engagement with key partners and stakeholders.

B. Bid writing, fundraising and assessing/applying for new contracts.

C. Management of staff and delivery of on-going contracts and projects.

D. Manage lead staff to develop and deliver projects and support volunteers.

E. Stakeholder engagement and partnership working The post holder will be line managed by the Director of Operations.

· Work with the Director of Operations and the Executive Team to develop and deliver the long-term strategy and to drive the growth and expansion of the IMO Charity and its Health & Wellbeing programmes.

4. Project Development and Financial Management

· Strategic planning, development and implementation of IMO themes, strategic, financial and business planning for your allocated IMO Theme. · Develop resource and implement programmes aligned to the IMO Charity strategic direction. · Work with stakeholders to refine and deliver their funded programmes. · Identify, and apply to secure funding for IMO Health & Wellbeing theme and delivery of strategic objectives. · Preparation and submission of reports, planning documents and information required by funders/clients with regards to service level agreements and any other contractual obligations. · Innovate in the design and implementation of new programmes that fit with local need. · With the other senior staff, deliver on the IMO Charity long term strategy. · Represent the IMO Charity to principal stakeholders. · Ensure the management of your strands engagement accounts.

5. Programme Development

· Develop resource and implement programmes aligned to the IMO Charity strategic direction. · Work with stakeholders to refine and deliver their funded programmes. · Innovate in the design and implementation of new programmes that fit with local need. · With the other senior staff, deliver on the IMO Charity long term strategy

6. Team Leadership

· Provide management and leadership to the Health & Wellbeing project team and volunteers. · Support the other senior management in delivering parallel projects. · Act as the representative of the IMO Charity in meetings. · Be a team player within the IMO Charity, to ensure support and advocacy.

7. Marketing and Communication

· To support and contribute to effective internal and external communication systems. · Help to develop a clear communications and marketing plan in conjunction with the marketing and communications team. · Develop relevant content – both narrative and imagery. · Increase and raise awareness of the IMO Charity amongst all stakeholder groups including supporters, staff, participants, media, interest groups, local communities, schools, sponsors and strategic charitable partners. 8. General Responsibilities · To ensure a high standard of professional conduct in dealing with other services and members of the public. · To attend all staff meetings as required. · To undertake any training considered necessary by the line manager. · To participate in a process of continuous evaluation of the organisation's effectiveness in fulfilling its aims and objectives. · To comply in all areas of work with IMO Charity Equal Opportunities Policy, Safeguarding and other policies. · To promote, participate in and contribute in all reasonable ways to the overall aims and objectives of IMO Charity.

There may be other tasks relating to the efficient and effective operation of the organisation. In these instances, the post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible and helpful approach.

Please note: The person appointed to this post will, from day-to-day, have contact with children and vulnerable adults, many of whom are under eleven years of age, and a number of whom may have moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Therefore, the post holder will require an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check.
