Bradford College has an exciting new opportunity for a Systems Developer. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining web based systems using technologies such as PHP, CSS, Symfony, MariaDB among others.  Additionally the successful candidate will provide support for online learning systems, maintain SharePoint and assorted other web-based systems.  You will be fundamental in achieving the College's commitment to transform students' lives.

 

The successful candidate

We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced PHP developer who can maintain existing and develop new systems and work alongside our existing Systems Developer.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of PHP Development and Linux administration. This involves needs analysis and first line support. You will be knowledgeable about GDPR and new web accessibility regulations. 

Educated to HND level and ideally with a recognised qualification in web-based development, and a track record of successfully completing a similar role in an educational environment.   

You will be adept at delivering results in a cross college environment as well as highly motivated, able to work on your own initiative and solution oriented. You will be capable of managing a high workload, be able to prioritise, and delegate effectively in order to ensure all deadlines are met.
