Role Overview:

Euro Garages as a Levy paying organisation has been successful in becoming an employer provider and is the first employer provider in the UK to become AAT approved and has developed a Level 3 AAT programme to be delivered from its bright, modern premises.. 

We are seeking to appoint a qualified AAT Tutor to manage a group of apprentices as our apprenticeship business is growing, to play a key role in continuing to offer our students and employers an excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

·       Managing a caseload of apprentices Level 3 AAT

·       Attending meetings with new and existing clients to discuss apprenticeship requirements and sign new apprentices onto the programme

·       Planning and adapting apprentice study programmes based on initial assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours and level of English and Mathematics

·       Delivery of apprenticeship induction sessions

·       Carrying out regular progress reviews with apprentices and line managers

·       Providing feedback on work submitted by apprentices on OneFile

·       Delivery and continuous improvement of Skills and Development workshops

·       Delivery of portfolio preparation sessions and support for End-point Assessment

·       Providing/co-ordinating additional support for apprentices requiring functional skills or those who have additional learning requirements

·       Regular monitoring of apprentice progress towards completion of the apprenticeship and achievement of the 20% Off-the-job training requirement

·       Reporting to Apprenticeship Manager on student progress

·       Reporting any safeguarding concerns to Designated Safeguarding Officer

·       Providing support with Ofsted, ESFA, compliance visits as required

·       Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Apprenticeship Manager

Job Title: Payroll Advisor

Role Overview:

Our Payroll Team are looking to recruit a Payroll Advisor! In this role you will be required to provide and maintain a day to day payroll administration support function within the Payroll department for a specific areas, act as the first point of contact for all payroll queries and also ensure the Payroll department is kept up to date and accurate. This will enable the smooth running of the department with the required information easily accessible. 

Previous experience in Payroll is essential although full training will be provided. 

Key Accountabilities:

·       Responsible for the preparation, processing & administration of monthly payroll for their area of responsibility complying with contractual and statutory obligations. Including: -

o   New starters, leavers, transfers amendments and pensions

·       Manage the administration of the time and attendance system for their area of responsibility. Including: -

o   Review of approved hours to ensure accuracy of payment

o   Managing employee changes in the time keeping system

·       Responsible for checking payslips and reports at payroll validation rectifying identified issues

·       Any other ad hoc duties to support the Payroll Department or Payroll Manager

·       Offer first line payroll support for employees and line managers

·       Participate in regular team meetings

·       Payroll knowledge of running a salaried Payroll and manual calculations

·       Working within a high level payroll processing function

·       Payroll reconciliations

·       Support with continual system and process improvements

·       Calculation and recording statutory payments as appropriate i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, answering queries from staff or external bodies promptly and any other payroll duties required by the organisation

Role: Junior Accountant

Role Profile

During our Level 4 Finance Higher Apprenticeship programme, you will complete the CIMA Diploma in Business Accounting over a 2 year period. If you demonstrate the aspiration and potential, you may have the opportunity to continue onto Level 7 for an additional 3 years while studying for the full CIMA qualification which is equivalent to a Masters degree.


What Does The Apprenticeship Involve?

Throughout your period on the apprenticeship you will undertake 6 month placements within the business to experience all the different aspects of Financial Management. These could include:

  • Financial Accounting
  • Management Accounting
  • Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Project Accounting
  • Governance

As this apprenticeship is also available within other BAE Systems Business Units such as Naval and Land, there may be the opportunity to gain experience by undertaking placements in other Business Units.


What Qualification Will You Get?

You will achieve CIMA Diploma in Business Accounting after successful completion of Level 4.

Dependent on performance and capability you may continue onto Level 7 for a further 3 years for the full CIMA qualification (equivalent to a Masters degree).

Finance Higher apprentices typically start on a salary of circa £18,758 per year, with increases throughout the scheme dependent upon performance and behaviours. You will also gain access to the Company pension and share saving schemes.

Role: Tax Senior

The Tax Senior will work directly with clients to manage engagements as well as help to convert the engagements with the Business Development Team. The role would require working with the larger tax team based in Manchester. Role Overview:

EG Group are proud to be the first employer provider approved to deliver AAT in the U to deliver training to their staff body in house on a rolling programme! This role would suit someone that is a newly qualified AAT Coach / recently retired practitioner looking to pass their knowledge on and anyone currently working unsociable / part-time hours that is looking for a permanent Mon-Fri 9-5 role. Those recently qualified in AAT and seeking to teach should also apply as delivery training may be given. 

In this role you will be a champion for Euro Garages as an Employer Provider and will be key to developing and growing the finance apprentice programme within Head Office, making sure that learning is at the heart of all our activities.  You will also drive, monitor and review all learning to ensure we have a talent pipeline through our apprentices that will match the future capability needs of the business.

Key Accountabilities:

Delivery of the Accounting Qualification- AAT in a classroom work based setting. This will involve delivering the Technical element of the AAT Programme to small groups. Delivery of sessions will be focussed on the last 2 weeks of each month (we anticipate delivery to be 2/3 days each week) with the first 2 weeks of the month set aside for marking, assessing and preparation (no teaching).

•         Support learners undertaking AAT Apprenticeships up to Level 3 standard

•         Provide information and guidance

•         Working to specific quality and completion of targets

•         Helping with enrolment of learners

•         Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress

•         To maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures relating to quality, compliance, management and assessment for AAT Programme

•         Supporting learners in the workplace and guiding the learners and preparing them for End Point Assessment

•         Participate in training, meetings and events as necessary

•         Prepare and resource AAT Level 3 sessions for group of learners in line with company and Ofsted standards

•         Mark and assess all learner work toward achieving AAT Level 3
