Role: Systems Engineer Apprentice

Location: Glasgow

 

Role Profile

During this five-year programme your first year will be as a trainee within Combat Systems followed by a Graduate Apprenticeship where you will develop an appreciation for managing and monitoring systems and infrastructure to support across the business and its customers. 

What Does The Apprenticeship Involve?

You will be trained to take responsibility for the installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems across the business whilst ensuring the highest level of quality and service. 

What Qualification Will You Get?

Year 1 – HNC Engineering Systems

Year 2 to 5 BEng (hons) in Design & Manufacturing

Role: Engineering Technician Apprentice

Location: Glasgow

Engineering Technicians at BAE Systems are predominantly involved in highly skilled work and are required to take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work they undertake within the limits of their personal authority.

 

What Does The Apprenticeship Involve?

As an Engineering Technician Apprentice will enable you to gain experience in areas such as Design Engineering, Systems Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. You will be trained to demonstrate:-

* Safe systems of working
* A technical contribution to either the design, development, quality assurance, manufacture, installation, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of products, equipment, systems, processes or services
* Proven techniques and procedures to solve engineering/manufacturing problems
* Effective interpersonal skills in communicating both technical and non-technical information
* A commitment to continued professional development

Typical areas may include: Calibration, Site Facilities, Complex Systems & Support, Mechanical Maintenance, Technical Support.
