Business Optimisation Senior Analyst
Circa £50,000 plus benefits
Manchester city centre with flexible working options available

We’re looking for improvement experts to join our Business Optimisation Team. Co-op is changing. We’re forming a new business optimisation team fusing traditional process and operational improvement capability with exciting intelligent automation technology to significantly improve our ways of working, so our colleagues can continue to focus on what matters most; working together to help our members, customers and communities. In this role, we’ll look to you to help us deliver complex optimisation projects across the business. You’ll build solid relationships with colleagues and senior leaders to deliver projects generating improvement whilst developing our culture and capabilities around continuous improvement across Co-op. It’ll be up to you through the use data to recommend the correct approach and relevant improvements, as well as build a financially sound business case for each project. It’s a big job. But when we get it right the benefits for our members and communities are huge. 

What you’ll do

•    build and develop meaningful relationships with colleagues and senior leaders to become the go-to person and subject matter specialist on business optimisation
•    deploy business optimisation tools and techniques to support complex problem solving
•    use data to conduct root cause analysis 
•    identify the appropriate improvement actions (process, people, data or technology related) and work in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure solutions land with positive impact
•    develop financially sound and verifiable business cases and supporting materials
•    mentor and develop your colleagues in optimisation approaches and techniques 
•    drive a culture of continuous improvement 
•    stay abreast of new and emerging technology, trends, approaches which may benefit Co-op

 

Additional

This role would suit people who have

•    proven experience of delivering large and complex improvement projects
•    minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt qualification or similar
•    strong communication and influencing skills, with a talent for building meaningful relationships with colleagues and leaders across the business
•    an inquisitive and curios mindset, with the ability to use data and a pragmatic approach to find solutions to complex issues
•    the resilience and determination to succeed where others may not
•    the passion and experience of leading a multidisciplinary team of direct and indirect reports
•    proven track record of working collaboratively to achieve required outcomes
•    financial acumen, with the ability to construct precise business cases and supporting justification
•    an evangelist for business optimisation who can inspire others
•    proven ability to operate through the entire improvement lifecycle, from strategy identification to delivery execution
