Role: Data Analyst

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2EE

Hours: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000

What will my role look like?

Our Fuel Pricing Team is expanding and we are looking to recruit a Fuel Pricing Analyst! In this role you will be required to analyse data for our Petrol Filling Stations  in order to influence profitability on a granular and company-wide level. 

You will be required to have an aptitude for numbers to produce in-depth reports from large amounts of data in order to inform business decisions. You will be given an opportunity to forge your own path in the business, alongside colleagues who have also progressed within their roles.

What would my main responsibilities be?

·       Recommending new/further strategies for each individual site in order to maximise business potential

·       Provide support to pricing manager and Head of Fuel Pricing, through regular summaries performance updates

·       Working alongside current analysts on ad-hoc projects, which vary from local pricing experiments to high-level international analysis across the whole business

·       Analyse market elasticities and customer behavior

·       Design, develop, and maintain a variety of analytic, optimisation and pricing models

·       Undertake pricing reviews with site, area, and regional managers, using analysis and local knowledge to improve the sites performance

·       Use analytic techniques to test ideas or check the effect of individual factors, either at a single site or for the estate overall

·       Participate in senior management meetings to give insight and/or statistical backup

·       Remaining up to date on current fuel news and issues

·       Time and again you will be required to set fuel prices of sites for your country of responsibility


Do I have what it takes?

·       Educated to a degree level in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent work experience

·       Knowledgeable and able to use all Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook and Excel

·       Ability to work efficiently and effectively to a deadline, alone or as part of a team.

·       Good problem solving skills

·       Knowledge of a programming language is advantageous
